To ensure your knitted favorites continue to delight you in future seasons, we've put together a helpful care cheat sheet.

1. Wash the item only when necessary, just for company, so we don't destroy anything knitted this way.
2. It's best to hand wash any knitted item. If you don't have the time or energy, or don't trust your washing machine, then you can take the item to the dry cleaner.
3. Wash in cool water. Hot water causes the fibers to lose their natural structure, which can lead to deformation.
4. Rinse in water of a similar temperature. A sudden change in temperature can cause the item to shrink.
5. Water should be pre-filled in the washing container. Do not wash or rinse under a running tap.
6. For washing, it's best to use a special soap/powder, or simply use your own hair shampoo.
7. Do not soak or rub vigorously. Don't rub at all unless necessary. Wringing is fine, but not for viscose or wool. Remove excess water with a towel.
8. When washing in a machine, always follow the special washing cycle, which includes hand washing, delicates, and wool cycles. The temperature should be 20-30 degrees Celsius, and the minimum spin speed should be 400-600 rpm. But most importantly, the washing machine must be adequate and operate correctly. You must be confident in its performance.
9. Sort items. Don't mix clothes and accessories made of different materials. For example, wool items should be washed alone.
10. When washing in a machine, use a special bag. The kind with holes. Because the washing machine drum is very dangerous for delicate and sensitive items.
11. Before washing, please remember to turn the item inside out. There's a chance that tangles, if any, will most likely come from the other side.

12. Don't overload the washing machine. Make sure all your items fit freely and spaciously in the drum.
13. Dry the item flat, shaping it accordingly. Avoid direct heat sources such as radiators or heaters.
14. Store the item horizontally on shelves. Forget about hangers. Using them will inevitably cause the item to deform. The canvas will stretch under its own weight and lose its beautiful appearance.
15. If tangles appear on the item, don't pull them out with your hands, and God forbid, don't cut them off with a blade. Use a special detangling machine.
16. To refresh the item, use a steamer. It truly works wonders on knitwear! The fabric will immediately straighten, the stitches will become more even, and the item will regain its original shape. Do this carefully. This requires a lot of concentration, but the results are worth it.

17. The most reliable way to combat pests, like moths, is plenty of air. Things need to breathe. That's why we say "no" to vacuum bags, boxes, and tightly packed closets. Legend has it that a lavender bag also keeps pests away. It certainly smells nice, but if you have any questions about that, it's better to use something more professional and proven.
